Scrap the Education Curriculum & Start Again

Bruce Knight - Wednesday, March 29, 2017

If you take a close look at Australia's economy and in fact the world economy, you will get a glim picture. However it's not all doom & gloom.

As we look back at history and see the facts, most of today's problems/issues have stemmed from decisions and lack of vision by our predecessors. They acted on the information they was in front of them and acted and made decisions accordingly at that particular time. Times have changed, the landscape has changed, people & cultures have changed, societies & governments have changed, and we need to change too if we are going to stay ahead in our rapidly changing world.

Developing & implementing a new set of systems, ideals and foremost educating our youth of  tomorrow  is what is close to my heart..

Here's why I think things need to change if we are to keep up to the rapidly changing world.

It all starts with education and with our education systems

  • The old way of doing things is no longer relevant
  • Children today are less educated then even 10 years ago

We need to implement a new Education Curriculum that offers growth, opportunity, support, innovation, leadership. A curriculum that fosters success strategies in entrepreneurship.

Here's how -

Offer the following in our schools across the country (government & non-government) Remember most children today spend more time at school then at home, as parents/guardians are working longer hours and committed to their interests longer in day.

Keep the following (Core Subjects)

  • 1. Maths
  • 2. English
  • 3. Entrepreneurship
  • 4. Health & Physical Education
  • 5. Personal Development
  • 6. Law & Finance
  • 7. Sexual Education

Electives

  • 1. Choice of second language
  • 2. Art
  • 3. Science

What are your thoughts? I'd love to hear from you
